Smart City Strategy 2019-2024
Together, Wyndham City and Delos Delta have developed a Smart City Strategy based on a Community Engagement Report and Benchmarking Report.
Wyndham’s Smart City Strategy envisions an innovative, citizen-centric and data driven future for Wyndham.
The Strategy’s accompanying action plan outlines tangible steps to achieve this creative vision.
“The strategy highlights our willingness to maximise the skills and knowledge of our citizens and promote innovation and creativity across the city,” said Wyndham City Council CEO, Kelly Grigsby.
The Smart City Strategy was endorsed by Council on 25 June 2019.
In 2019 Council secured funding from round two of the Smart Cities and Suburbs program, becoming one of only three Councils across Australia to successfully bid in both rounds.
The Wyndham Smart City Strategy was awarded Smart City Strategy of the Year at the 2019 Smart Cities Council ANZ, Smart Cities Week Awards.
Smart City Engagement
Delos Delta and Wyndham facilitated consultation with more than 800 community members to understand the opportunities, priorities, concerns and demands of the community and other stakeholders when using technology, data and innovation to address our urban challenges.
Smart City Benchmarking
Based on consultation with Council Staff, and Delos Delta’s smart city experience, Wyndham was benchmarked against leading Australian smart cities. The aim of the benchmarking report is to identify areas of strength and weakness within Council so that they may be addressed in the Smart City Strategy.
