Delos Delta worked with the City of Stonnington to develop their Smart City Strategic Framework: Enabling Future Stonnington.

The focus of the Framework is to build practices, principles, skills, and engagement to shape and inform all future strategies in Stonnington – not just those related to technology.  It enables a greater balance across social, economic, and environmental outcomes to drive a more prosperous and vibrant city.

The Framework brings together a range of technologies, concepts, ideas, and modernisations including:

• Data-enablement
• The Internet of Things (IoT)
• Innovation
• Test-beds
• Digital Democracy

The Framework aligned key strategies, policies, and plans with the Community Vision 2040 and Council Plan 2021-2025.  From here, six smart city strategic pillars were developed to enable a future of:

• Collaborative communications and partnership
• Connected communities and identity
• Enhanced council services and customer experiences
• Vibrant places and character
• Thriving economic innovation and businesses
• Visionary people and leadership

With a number of smart city initiatives already in place in the City of Stonnington, such as smart lighting, smart parking, free wi-fi, and digital literacy programs, a strong foundation has already been set for future priorities and opportunities for the City and community.
