Great South Coast Digital Strategy
Delos Delta has been working with Moyne Shire Council, Corangamite Shire Council, and Warrnambool City Council in a joint project to develop the Great South Coast Regional Digital Strategy.
The Regional Digital Strategy is being developed in collaboration with the council communities, industry representatives and stakeholders. The Strategy aims to use digital technologies to better support and communicate with businesses, residents, and visitors of the various council areas.
“Digital enablement is one of the most important levers that supports business, education, tourism and other economic sectors” – Cr Debbie Arnott, Mayor of Warrnambool City Council
The Councils followed a ‘push and pull’ approach for the Strategy to balance the supply and demand of digital transformation for the community. The ‘push’ refers to providing digital services across Great South Coast and the ‘pull’ is the demand in ensuring the capacity of these services for all community members.
In the Strategy, there are 8 main focuses:
- People
- Inclusion
- Sustainability
- Safety & Security
- Accessibility
- Transparency
- Future-proofing
- Collaboration
‘Together is better’ perfectly sums up the strategic approach Great South Coast has developed with the support of their surrounding councils.
The DRAFT Digital Strategy was surveyed in late January 2023. The Strategy is in its final stages and is set to be released later in 2023.
