Car Parking Study Report
The Central Coast Council Car Parking Study Report was created with Delos Delta in February of 2020. This Study was conducted to provide Council with a framework to improve the management and overall quality of parking services in the region. Data was collected from 26 focus areas by the Council to better understand where people were parking, how many spare car parks there were, and the key areas where parking was most popular.
“[The Vision is to create] a multi-dimensional, integrated parking experience that encourages and supports alternative transport options.”
During this Study, Council focused on the following actions:
- Identifying potential future parking demands and shortfalls
- Engagement with the community
- Identifying broad strategies to manage parking supply and demand
- Identifying the short, medium, and long-term strategies for each focus area
Within each focus area there were emerging issues, community engagement, and area priorities identified. Central Coast Council also developed an Implementation Plan to work in conjunction with the Study Report.
This Report was adopted at the 13 April 2021.
