Project Spotlight: Wodonga Innovation Project

Delos Delta is working with Canberra Innovation Network (CBRIN) and Wodonga Council to implement an Innovation Network/Hub in Wodonga, Victoria.
Working closely with the Wodonga community, the aim of the project is to set up an innovation network/hub that fosters entrepreneurship, supports innovation, and allows business ideas to grow and develop.

An online stakeholder survey was recently released that aimed at identifying key issues and opportunities for the project. Encouragingly, the survey has received over 100 responses!
Ongoing engagement with the community is imperative to the project, as local ideas and views are key to tailoring the network/hub to the unique needs of Wodonga.

Strategy Release: North Sydney Council

Delos Delta would like to congratulate North Sydney Council, who have released their Smart City Strategy, 2019-2022!
North Sydney is an iconic Australian City continuing to lead and innovate for the benefit of residents, workers, local businesses and visitors. Delos Delta is proud to have supported this journey, working with Council and the community to develop this Smart City Strategy and Action Plan.

We are thrilled to announce that stakeholder engagement conducted for the Logan City Council's City Futures Strategy has been awarded 'Community Development Project of the Year' at the IAP2 Australasia Conference 2019!
The International Association for Public Participation (IAP2) Conference brings together community engagement and communications experts to discuss the hottest trends in engagement.

Delos Delta are proud to have worked with Logan to develop this outstanding initiative and would like to congratulate the entire team at Logan City Council for their fantastic and ongoing community engagement efforts.
We would also like to thank our partners for the project, Articulous, for conducting awesome stakeholder engagement to inform the Strategy, and for coordinating the incredibly successful Unpacking Innovation Event.

Another one!
We would like to congratulate Wyndham City Council for winning the Smart Cities Council ANZ 2019 Smart City Strategy Award! Delos Delta is proud to have partnered with Wyndham to develop their (now award winning) Smart City Strategy.
The Strategy demonstrates how the future liveability and connectivity of Wyndham will be realised with the aid of technology, data, innovation and civic engagement. Well done Wyndham City Council!

Event Spotlight: Local Gov Professionals WA
Local Government Professionals WA Conference

Delos Delta MD, Brook Dixon, had the privilege of presenting at the recent Local Government Professionals WA Annual Conference.
Brook spoke about the need for a strategic and organisational approach to get the most from 'big data' - moving beyond talk, to create the systems, structures and culture that turns data into analysis, decisions, and better performance.
It was a wonderful opportunity for Brook to connect with some outstanding local government colleagues in Perth. Big thanks goes to Viola Jacobs, Candy Choo GAICD and Jamie Parry for the opportunity.

Delos Delta Team: Smart Cities Week ANZ

The team at Delos Delta had the pleasure of joining some of Australia and New Zealand's leading smart design, innovation and data management professionals for the annual Smart Cities Week ANZ Conference in Sydney.
It was an exciting and informative few days sharing key lessons and discussing insights and new developments in the field. The Delos Delta contingent appreciated this years focus on data (big and small) and its role in our lives. Well done to Smart Cities Council ANZ for another great event!

Out & About: Maribyrnong City Council Event
Data & Innovation: Smarter City, Smarter Business

In late November Delos Delta worked with City of Maribyrnong to host a 'Data & Innovation' event that brought together multiple data analysts, local startup founders and acclaimed entrepreneurs. Our very own Brook Dixon was invited to speak about the ins and outs of developing local innovation capacity.
The event was a fantastic opportunity to network, gain insights from key actors in the local innovation space, and gather inspiration about growing, supporting and transforming cities and businesses around Australia. Congratulations to Council and Co-Connected (an initiative by LaunchVic) for hosting such a great event!
